The plan is focused on the industries with high pollution potentials. Totally twenty-six forewarning business entities(enterprises) have been screened; twenty listed based on the condition of “over 10% penalty rate of violating the Water Pollution Control Act in the last five years”, with additional six entities with high-risk potential suggested by the government. After many inspections and working conference with the government, nine entities are chosen. This year, the in-depth inspections have been performed to eight business entities. One with “soil and groundwater pollution” and four was found with “severe violation”. Chin-** Company was verified by the Tainan Environmental Protection Bureau exceeding “Category II groundwater pollution control standards”. The following companies are declared “severe violation”: Chin-**** Kuang Company and Chung-********** Company was found with wastewater’s pollution concentration 5 times higher than the standard and released the wastewater through unauthorized discharge point. Chien-*** Company was found with wastewater’s pollution concentration 5 times higher than the standard and discharged it through unauthorized RD01 discharge point. Jin-***** Company was found with wastewater’s pollution concentration 5 times higher than the standard. The meeting of promoting and sharing factory inspection experience was held to fulfill the contract.
